Random Acts of Kindness

Wow, what a week this has been.

Shay made the front page of the Taranaki Daily News with his RAK and all St. John Bosco students have been taking up this RAK challenge and boy I am impressed!

Today the children who had completed their homework shared with the class about their Random Act of Kindness (some children had completed more than one!)

As well as this room 2 completed their own random act of kindness. This morning we went to mass at Our Lady Help of Christians. Following mass the children gave out roses and fudge to the parishioners (and some hugs were given out too). The children shared how this made them feel kind and happy. When we returned to the classroom we gave each other compliments and told each other what we like about them.

So, a very sad week as we said goodbye to Gabby. However, I am really proud of the SJB children - let's keep this up and continue Gabby's legacy :) What was a very sad week has been  made easier with the generous acts of kindness.

"Change the world by doing one random act of kindness at a time"

Remember an act of kindness can be as small as a smile or a hug :) it doesn't have to cost money.
