A message from Sarah, Gabby's Mum:
It is with extreme sadness in our hearts that we let you know that our precious angel Gabby gained her angel wings yesterday morning peacefully in our arms. We are utterly heartbroken but determined that Gabby's legacy through Starlit HOPE will continue just as she would wish. She also had a wish that the New Plymouth Childrens Ward have 8am to 5pm cover for a play specialist and we are honoured to continue to peruse this for Gabby. I am so extremely proud of Gabby, behind that big smile was a girl that for the last 9 months has battled terminal bone cancer while still trying to bring happiness and joy to other Cancer kids and family. Her dad and I remember in amazement the many times she would take her morphine tablet and head up to the Childrens Ward to spread her love through her random acts of kindness.
We love you to the moon and back Gabby. We know you are happy in heaven finally free of pain and we are sure you are up there spreading your joy and laughter. We will never forget you as you will live on in the legacy you leave behind. Love Mum, Dad and Paddy xxx
