This week we are celebrating Matariki and Puanga (the Maori New Year)

This Thursday 25th June
Leaving at 9 am returning by 11 am
We will be walking
PUKE ARIKI
On Monday 29th June, Room 2 and Room 4 are going to Puke Ariki to learn about Anzac Day and Puanga/ Matariki (the Maori New Year).
We will be going by bus. We will leave at 9 am and return to school by 1 pm for lunch.
If you are available to help please fill in the appropriate line on the permission form. The children wear school uniform to both trips please.
PUANGA/ MATARIKI
We are having a big school wide focus on Matariki/ Puanga. It would be fantastic to see you all at our school celebration next Thursday 2nd of July from 5 pm. Yummy and FREE Hangi as well as Waiata, Kapa Haka and more! Don’t forget to bring your Kumara to the office.
The children are learning about different ways that Puanga/Matariki can be celebrated around NZ
Please return permission slips and Inquiry learning books ASAP
