What we did:
We sketched half of a Monarch Butterfly (including it's body, wing details)
We then used a mixture of glue and paint to go over the lines (on one half)
We then folded the paper in half and gently rubbed over it
We opened it up and saw our "symmetrical" pattern (mirror image reflection)
Where to next…..
We now need to use a range of paint and pastel to complete our butterflies. The "metamorphosis" is nearly completed. We have created caterpillars and are part way through completing our butterflies.
